Originally from Brooklyn, New York, I graduated from Long Island University with a degree in Marketing. I then began my career in the sales, marketing, and promotion of professional football and tennis in New York City. The lure of ever-increasing sports and entertainment activity brought me to California in the late 1970’s, where I co-produced the first international trade show for the combined industries of skateboarding, surfing, and roller skating. For the next 25 years, I produced and managed the production of a wide variety of concerts, special events, and fundraisers while managing events in venues such as theaters, hotel ballrooms, convention centers, and auditoriums.

2001 was a pivotal time in my life. The events of 9/11 had a significant impact on me, as they did for many. I began some serious soul searching, which led to a new chapter in my life. I made a career transition, and completed the required coursework and passed the state exam to earn my insurance license. Ironically, for the first 25 years of my career I was known as a producer and that’s the same title used to describe an insurance broker: a producer. The skills I had accrued and honed as an entertainment producer afforded me a natural transition to the insurance business, where I am able to deliver the same thoroughness, meticulous attention to detail, and great sense of care to my insurance clients as I was in all of my productions.

I received my insurance license in 2002 and, as an independent insurance broker, I represent all of the top-rated health insurance carriers in California, including Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, HealthNet, Kaiser, United Healthcare, and others. To help clients understand the complexities of the new Health Care Reform Act (i.e. Obamacare), I stay abreast of the latest rules and regulations that affect the health insurance industry. I receive continuing education as a member of several professional insurance organizations: The National Association of Health Underwriters, California Association of Health Underwriters, and the Los Angeles Association of Health Underwriters. I’ve been a Board Member of the latter for the past two years. I appreciate being in the position of a trusted advisor, and strive to understand my clients’ needs to creatively and effectively offer solutions with honesty and integrity. I completed the course of study and was conferred the title of Certified Healthcare Reform Specialist.  As a result of this training, I am able to keep my clients up to date and counsel them on upcoming health coverage changes and responsibilities with respect to the Affordable Care Act.

Additionally, I represent more than 25 top-rated life insurance carriers, including Metropolitan Life, Prudential, Guardian, Transamerica, Banner, and Principal Life, to name a few. Having lost a parent myself at a very young age, I am all too aware of unforeseen events and understand the importance of protecting those you love with life insurance. That being said, I also offer disability “income protection” and long-term healthcare insurance for your peace of mind.
