Things Successful People Refuse to Do

Successful people are all different, but they do have some common ground on things they refuse to do.

Let us begin by saying a truth: You cannot become successful, you can only be successful. What does this mean? It means there is no magical switch or method that will grant you the power of success. It depends on you and the effort you put into your craft–whether it be a business owner, artist, or whatever career path you choose to down. That said, there are some things that will hinder your success and successful people know which to avoid. Here are a few things that successful people refuse to do.

Successful people refuse to. . .

  1. Make excuses for their own mistakes. Successful people learn to grow from their mistakes, and they make a lot of them. But what separates them from the rest is that they are obsessively trying to learn and improve.
  2. Copy what other people have done to be successful. They are not sheep, they are leaders. They find their own way and stick with it, only changing when the evidence demands it.
  3. Adopt the thinking of the status quo. There is no greater enemy to success than the status quo.
  4. Pretend they are better than everyone else. They know a team makes the dream work and look for input from everyone.
  5. Refuse to stay out when they are down. The Dark Knight explains it best, “Why do we fall? …so we can learn to get back up again.”

Successful people also know to take care of their employees because they know happy workers are the most productive workers. Whether you need to buy group health insurance to comply with the law or just want to put together the best benefits package possible, contact Donald Weiss Insurance Services today!
